  • is this ironic or what?? my grampa sent this to me in an email . . . no more pepsi for me! serves them right!!

DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!
Don't  buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the
         Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi  left out two little words on the pledge,

                                  "Under God."

Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone.
In that case, we don't want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
when they don't receive our money that has the words
"In God We Trust" on it.

HOW FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE?

yea um totally not cool. if they're *honestly* being patriotic, they need to have the *whole* Pledge that this country was raised on and that its soldiers fight with its principles in mind. did pepsi ever stop to think of the people they would offend by *omitting* those words?? who are they to decide that what will and will not appear in the Pledge?!

honestly, thats like omitting 2 stars from the flag because they wouldn't want to offend the U.S. territories who dont have stars on the Flag to represent them as well. it doesnt make sense! without those 2 stars the Flag just isnt complete, it just isnt *the* Flag of the United States of America. who is anyone to omit those two stars??

i dont really hear particularly outraged remarks about "under God" being in the Pledge of Alliegence. only those who are looking for political attention are making any kind of remarks at all about it, using the dreaded cliche "its not policially correct" --- gag me please!

to those sissy-wimps who are offended, oh my gosh suck it up please!! you don't hear the rest of us complaining about your *lack* of patriotic expression. just dont use it to insult our intelligence by warping the wording of the Pledge and then try to pass it off as the real thing. that's tweaking what really happened in history and how it came to be today simply to fit what you unpatriotic posers *wanted* to have happened . . .

    simply disgusting!!
